Video Relay Services (VRS) provides Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and business owners a means to communicate over video desktop and mobile devices with hearing individuals in real time using American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. This service is free to our Deaf and hard-of-hearing customers.
IP-Relay is a text relay service which enables a person who is Deaf or hard of hearing to communicate with hearing persons over the phone. A call assistant relays the conversation between the parties by alternately speaking the Deaf person's typed words, or typing the hearing person's spoken words. The service is free for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
We have a national qualified interpreter team that can provide services for ASL and English as well as Spanish ASL interpreters. Our interpreters provide services for any in-person interpretation needs, including job interviews; special events such as concerts, parties and plays; business meetings; conferences; employee training; and other interpreting needs. Our interpreters are familiar with business, medical and legal terminology. They are bound by the Interpreters Code of Professional Conduct and Purple’s employee ethics that ensure confidentiality and that the highest standards of professionalism are met.
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is a convenient, on-demand sign language interpreting service delivered over a live Internet video connection. With qualified interpreters, clear audio and high-quality video, it’s as if the interpreter is in the room with you. VRI is perfect for schools, business meetings, medical appointments/hospitals, conferences and more.
