Using Purple Number, My IP Relay Numbers, and i711 Call Me Numbers
Q. Why am I getting messages about June 30th when I make a call?
A. The FCC has made some changes to VRS and IP Relay regulations and we want to make sure that everyone is notified and can continue to complete their calls after June 30th.
Q. What is changing as of June 30th?
A. The FCC is requiring everyone who uses a VRS or IP Relay provider for their relay service to be registered with one of the national providers in order to continue using relay services. The user also needs to have a valid address on their account profiles.
Q. What do they mean by Registration?
A. Registration is defined as having an account which has both your physical street address on file (for 911 purposes) and a 10-digit local number. If your profile is missing one of these you will not be able to make or receive calls after June 30th.
Q. How do I register?
A. It's easy! Simply go to any of Purple's websites and follow the step-by-step instructions:
www.i711.com
www.ip-relay.com
www.hovrs.com
Q.. I already have a 10-digit local number. How do I update my profile?
A.No problem. Go to www.i711.com, www.ip-relay.com or www.hovrs.com. Sign in with your appropriate combination of user name/e-mail address/10-digit number and password. Then choose myi711 (i711), My Profiles (IP-Relay), or My Account (hovrs.com) to update all your personal information.
