Cool! Thank you for letting us know! I look forward to more things in Purple Labs. I love P3!

Sorry to learn that Purple doesn’t continue Apple Macintosh applications that HOVRS used to carry. Yes, I could understand corporate decision to discontinue Mac.

However, I beg to differ, there is a growing number of Deaf Mac Users. Hopefully the purple lab engineers and decision makers would consider to visit this opportunity. And serve the Deaf Mac segment of this VRS industry. So far CONVO Relay does. Technically speaking, inquire some engineers who are versed in compiling from PC to MAC platform. Or provide an affordable MAC solution.

    Hopefully,

    Big Mac,

Thank you for your honest feedback. I am a lifelong Apple/Mac user and I can personally assure you that the Apple/Mac is an important platform for us.

We are proud of being the first to provide relay services on the MacIntosh Platform. Only two years ago we were honored with the Andrew Saks Engineering Award from TDI for our development of the Mac relay platform.

We are still providing services on that award-winning platform! See http://www.hovrs.com/hovrsim for more information on how to access our services through your Mac.

You can also see a video commercial on using relay with your Mac at http://www.hovrs.com/studio/hovrswidget.aspx (warning: login required).

Stay tuned for more innovation from Purple in this area. ;)

    Hi Kelby:

Thanks for reassuring that HOVRS IM Widget is still available. Pardon me for assuming HOVRS MAC application was unshelved.

That commercial is beautifully filmed, definitely trademark of Taylor/Betts videography.

Looking forward to innovations for Apple Mac.

    Thanks.

I do like P3, but the problem is that you didn’t included the “flasher” out of laptop. Yes, it did flash on the screen. But when person is not around the laptop, how do you get my attention? MVP has flasher and it did get people’s attention. Why P3 didn’t? I do not want to sitting my laptop or computer all day and watch out the “blink” on the screen. You need to design to make something to get my attention that P3 is calling me.

  6. Paige Says:

Would like to add something, you need to make this download available for MAC. Many of my friends has MAC. I felt bad for them because you didn’t design one. You need to do that sometime soon!

  7. Paige Says:

Also, I noticed that P3 has no sounds–unlike Viable, since they have sounds, you can hear any background or talking. Most of my family are hearing and they want to hear my voice and this p3 dont have it. Please redesign for this to be able to hear and voice at the same time with videophone and include flasher as well.
