10-Digit Numbers

Hello! We would like to share some information about your 10-digit number (your "Purple Number", "RON Number" or "i711 Call Me Number"). Whether you are using text relay (IP–relay) or video relay services (VRS), we have the ability to provide you with a local number. Not only can your hearing family, friends, and co-workers reach you directly through this number, but when you place an outbound call using relay, we will display your Purple Number to the party you're calling so they can recognize your calls. If you don't have a 10-digit number yet, sign-up today. It's free and it's easy. Visit any of our websites: www.i711.com, www.ip-relay.com, www.hovrs.com, or www.purple.us.

Our 10-digit numbers include enhanced 911 calling features which allow you to register your primary location in the E911 database. This can speed answer and response times of help to you in an emergency. Please read our E911 Advisories for further details.

Local Number Portability

Hello! We would like to share some news with you regarding your text relay (IP-relay) or video relay service (VRS). We are now able to transfer to us any 10-digit telephone number that you might have with another provider. You don't have to give up your number in order to make Purple your relay provider of choice. This process, called "porting", can be done directly on our website. Once you ask us to transfer your 10-digit number to us, we will work with your current provider to have that number transferred. When it is completed, calls to that number will come through Purple and we will provide your text and video relay services for you. We will also process your E911 calls, and will update the Emergency Records with the address that you provide us.

The process for transferring can take a little time, but we'll keep you updated during the process. Once you have begun this process, do not call your current provider and cancel your number or service.

While we can transfer any number, we recommend that you read our iTRS Porting Advisory before completing this process.
